Clinical studies on subjects with melasma have reported positive results with Decapeptide-12. One study reported a complete clearance of melasma in 25% of subjects after six weeks, and all subjects showed some improvement. Another study on solar lentigines (hyperpigmentation from sun damage) found that 38.5% of subjects achieved complete clearance after 24 weeks.
