Melanogenesis

Pentapeptide-18 is also being investigated for its potential effects on melanogenesis, the process of melanin production. A study on melanoma cells suggested that modifications to the peptide's structure, specifically the inclusion of D-tyrosine, may contribute to a reduction in melanin synthesis.
