Prostamax (20mg)
$69.00$63.00
Prostamax (KEDP) is a synthetic tetrapeptide that is being investigated for its potential to repair various tissues, particularly in prostate cell cultures. It is thought to influence the structural dynamics of chromatin, a complex of DNA and proteins, which may lead to the activation of previously repressed genes.

Research and Clinical Studies
Chromatin & Cellular Aging
Research suggests that Prostamax may influence chromatin structure, potentially activating genes that become repressed with age. One study reported that Prostamax appeared to alter the heat denaturation profile of chromatin in lymphocytes, suggesting a relaxation of the 30-nm fiber into a 10-nm filament (1).
Another study found that Prostamax exposure reportedly increased the frequency of sister chromatid exchanges and Ag-positive nucleolus organizer regions in aging cells, which may indicate enhanced chromosomal exchange and changes in ribosomal RNA gene activity. It also appeared to reduce the frequency of large segments of heterochromatin, a condensed form of chromatin, possibly "releasing" genes that were previously repressed (2, 3).
Prostate Gland Health
Prostamax is being investigated for its potential effects on the prostate gland. An investigation using organotypic tissue cultures suggested that Prostamax may stimulate reparative processes in prostatic tissues, particularly during aging (4).
Additionally, a study on models of chronic aseptic prostatitis reported that Prostamax appeared to reduce the intensity of chronic inflammation, such as swelling and lymphoid infiltration. It also seemed to have a role in preventing sclerotic and atrophic processes in the prostate gland models (5).
