Receptor Grade IGF-1 LR3 (1mg)

$162.00$155.00

Receptor Grade IGF-1 LR3 is a high-purity, synthetic variant of the naturally occurring insulin-like growth factor-1 (IGF-1). It has an altered structure, including a 13-amino-acid extension and a modified arginine residue, which is being researched for its potential to increase anabolic activity and bind less to IGF-1 binding proteins (IGF-1BPs).

Research and Clinical Studies

Tissue Anabolism & Muscle

Limited studies on murine models suggest that Receptor Grade IGF-1 LR3 may have a higher anabolic potential than IGF-I. One study reported that it appeared to be about 2.5 times more potent in promoting anabolic effects, such as weight gain and increased visceral organ weight. The peptide also seemed to reduce the excretion of Nτ-methylhistidine, a marker of muscle protein breakdown, more effectively than IGF-I (3).

A study on female mice suggested that various IGF-1 analogs, including IGF-1 LR3, have the potential to counteract the action of myostatin, a protein that prevents muscle cell differentiation and growth. Mitigating myostatin's effects may lead to increased lean muscle mass (8).

Metabolic Activity

Research has suggested that IGF-1 analogs, including Receptor Grade IGF-1 LR3, may induce glucose uptake and metabolism by activating signaling pathways such as PI3K and AMPK. These pathways are crucial for cellular growth, survival, and energy balance. It is hypothesized that this activation may lead to increased glucose uptake by cells, thus improving glucose metabolism (7).
