Tesamorelin (5mg / 10mg)
$48.00$43.00
Tesamorelin is a synthetic polypeptide and an analog of the growth hormone-releasing hormone (GHRH). It is being researched for its potential to stimulate the pituitary gland, leading to increased production and secretion of growth hormone (GH) and insulin-like growth factor-1 (IGF-1). The peptide's modified structure is thought to give it greater stability and resistance to enzyme deactivation.

Research and Clinical Studies
Lipodystrophy & Visceral Fat
A primary area of research for Tesamorelin is its potential to address abnormal fat distribution, or lipodystrophy, in immunodeficient models. Studies have shown a significant decrease in visceral adipose tissue (VAT) levels, with one study reporting a reduction of at least 15.4% after 26 weeks. Researchers have also reported a reduction of up to 25% in visceral fat among lipodystrophy models (6, 11). The peptide's potential to reduce hepatic fat fraction (HFF) has also been explored, with one study reporting a reduction in 35% of immunodeficient models after 12 months (5).
Muscle & Cognition
Research suggests that Tesamorelin may have a positive impact on muscle tissue quality. A study using CT scans on test models indicated a potential association between Tesamorelin and improvements in the density and overall volume of specific muscle groups, such as the rectus abdominis, psoas major, and paraspinal muscles (10).
The peptide is also being investigated for its potential effects on cognition. A clinical study on immunodeficient models with mild cognitive impairment is currently underway to determine if Tesamorelin can improve neurocognitive performance (8).
Insulin & Metabolism
While Tesamorelin is known to stimulate growth hormone release, which can influence metabolism, a study specifically aimed at determining its effect on insulin sensitivity in models with Type II diabetes reported no significant alteration in fasting glucose, glycosylated hemoglobin, or diabetes control parameters after 12 weeks of exposure (9).
