Research and Clinical Studies
Synergistic Action on the Pituitary Gland
The blend's potential lies in its components' different pathways for stimulating GH release from the pituitary gland. Tesamorelin and CJC-1295 (Mod GRF 1-29) both act as growth hormone-releasing hormone (GHRH) analogs, binding to GHRH receptors to potentially increase the production and secretion of GH (4). CJC-1295 has an extended half-life due to its ability to bind to blood albumin, which may result in a prolonged duration of action (5).
Ipamorelin, on the other hand, is a selective ghrelin receptor agonist. It is believed to mimic the action of the "hunger hormone" ghrelin, binding to receptors on pituitary cells to stimulate GH release with high specificity and minimal impact on other hormonal systems (6).
Body Composition & Muscle Tissue
The peptides in this blend have been individually researched for their potential to influence body composition. A study on Tesamorelin suggested a possible association with improvements in muscle density and volume in specific muscle groups, such as the rectus abdominis and psoas major (9).
Preliminary research on CJC-1295 (Mod GRF 1-29) has indicated a potential rise in nocturnal GH levels and an increase in lean body mass, with one study reporting an average gain of 1.26 kg over four months in male research models (10). Ipamorelin has also been hypothesized to increase muscle mass and strength and may interact with and increase levels of IGF-I, a key mediator of GH (11).
GI Tract
Ipamorelin is also being researched for its potential effects on the GI tract, particularly on gut motility. It is believed to interact with ghrelin receptors in the GI tract, which may promote gut motility and improve intestinal absorption. In one study, Ipamorelin appeared to accelerate gastric emptying in models that had undergone abdominal surgery (8).
